Helpful points that can be used when objecting are: -

  1. There are alternatives to the Pylons - Offshore cable is a viable option as the cable running from Scotland to Grimsby is under the sea.
  2. Pylons will have a detrimental effect of the local landscape
  3. Pylons will have a detrimental effect on the local tourism industry
  4. Properties within 3-5km of the Pylon line will be devalued.
  5. Wildlife will be impacted by Pylons in particular bird migration
  6. Potential unknown health implications of living in close proximity high voltage lines
  7. Impact on valuable agricultural land pylons would need to be sited on
  8. Noise pollution produced by pylons
